Our Story

The QUILTBAG was founded by Rebecca and Parker Lieb, with plenty of help from friends, family, and community members. In 2021, the shop was purchased by Tracy Bradley, (she/they), a queer Metis artist and birth worker.  We are queer folks with a lot of love for Edmonton and a desire to contribute positively to the lives of others who live here. In the Spring of 2018 we realized Edmonton would benefit from an explicitly LGBTQ2S+ retail space where people could gather, host events, share art, and find new items to help express themselves. In December 2018, The QUILTBAG opened its doors for the first time. We want LGBTQ2S+ families, no matter how they’re made, to shine, and we believe artists should be able to make a living from their work. We’re excited to be helping to make a world where this is possible through the sale of rad goods.
